Do you ever feel like there just isn’t enough time in the day? I’m pretty sure most of us feel that, most of the time. One thing that I find that suffers the most in my life is my ability to keep up with people who are dear to me, my friends. Sometimes after a conversation or looking at pix I tell myself, make sure you keep up with this person, send a message or text once a week….. and months go by and I fail at doing this. My intentions are good, my friends are on my mind. I usually think of them as I’m driving to or from somewhere(that’s quiet time for me) or sitting/standing in a line somewhere.

That doesn’t mean that my friends aren’t a priority or that I don’t love them, it just means that things like kids, husband, dogs, cats, dishes, vacuuming, working, etc all are higher on the priority list. And I don’t even know that it’s necessarily higher on the priority list, or just those other things just scream louder and are in my face more (the squeaky wheels get the oil).

Thank the Lord that those friends who mean the most to me understand, and pretty much live the same way, and when we do connect; via phone, text or even in person, it’s like we were just together yesterday. These people are SO important to me and honestly sometimes my only sanity, so it doesn’t make sense that they go on the back burner, except it does, they do and they get it too.

Love this Black and Tan outfit! Top from Calvin Klein, Macy’s. Pants from JCPenny, Worthington ankle skinny Click here( they have a great waist band on them to hold in the tummy). The tan sweater came fromTJ Maxx a few seasons ago. I found this fab scrunchie (hello- high school in the 80’s) at Altar’d State in Kansas City last year!Click here

  1. Kim,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I do know how busy our lives can be and friends are special. I consider you one of my favorite girls. I call all my administrative assistants my girls. Thanks for all you do for Catholic education. Love you Kim.
    Blessings
