Stations of the Cross

The stations of the cross are “representations of the path Jesus bore on his way to the crucifixion. They involve Jesus enduring suffering, insults, moments of support, and relay the intense sacrifice that Jesus undertook for human salvation”!

Participating in this as a Catholic is a very moving experience! Most churches do this every Friday during Lent with the ‘living stations’ ( where they act it out) the Friday before Palm Sunday.

I forget from year to year how much so learn and how much I FEEL during the stations. If you’ve never gone to one, I highly recommend it. You don’t have to be Catholic, and it will really bring the enormity of the Easter season to light.

Easter always meant new dresses when I was a kid. As you’ve seen in my blog the past week or so I did get some new dresses at Bealls Florida while I was there. This one however, I bought last year at JC Penney. Again with the ruffle sleeves, and this one has pockets! The Capri leggings I picked up from WalMart and the necklace I bought at one of my favorite local boutiques right here in Big Rapids, Serendipity. This a beautiful store with lovely clothing and a huge array of jewelry, including Brighton brand. Here is their website, but if you get the chance, stopping in is WAY better!
