My good friend introduced me to St. Monica this week. St. Monica, patron saint of mothers. The saint who showed the most patience in waiting for her husband and son to find God.

As a mother, do we ever stop worrying about our children? No matter how old they are and no matter how successful and accomplished they are? we worry! Are they eating right, are they going to church, is their moral compass pointed the right way.. so many worries!

I’ve got one on a baseball diamond 3 days a week and one running around Washington DC… yep, I pray AND I worry….

But I also am filled such pride and joy in their accomplishments and I’m so excited for them I their futures because they have such bright shining ones!
